An issue you may come across is that if you have a problem with an application, the professor might not be able to help you if the applications interface is different enough between the two platforms.Īs for saying Macs have better build quality, well that's subjective. You can get a license for Microsoft Windows from the VCU Technology Services website. If push comes to shove and you need a windows machine because a professor uses an application that is Microsoft only, you should be able to set up a virtual machine on your Mac and install Windows in that VM. I think for the most part you should be OK as I've known a few fellow classmates that used Macs that were in the school of business.
